I may be a little behind on movies. My son decided it needed to be family movie night and being a family person and believing that family time is a must, then I couldn’t pass it up. His choice was Wonder Woman. It is a movie that has been on my bucket list of ones that I wanted to see and he knew that. He really wanted me to watch it.
Now I can’t say it was overall a happy ending like some hero movies or even a princess movie, but that fact that she gained all her powers because of love and defeated evil was a pretty awesome and a powerful message and inspired me to write this.
Good Versus Evil
I am not going to critique the movie or give away any spoilers in case you haven’t seen the movie yet. I will say it was a very good movie. The ending was definitely the best part to me because of course everything came together. I can’t get the one line out of my head, “Only love can save the world.”
In today’s world, where this is so much hate going on around us, this really hit me to the core. “Only love can save the world.” Isn’t it so true? It makes me so sad to hear stories of heartless, needless tragic. Children (and even adults) being bullied because they are unique in their own way. Don’t even get me started on social media. What the heck? Because you are safe behind a screen, it’s ok to be a complete a$$#*l&? (I seriously wanted to type jerk, but lets call it for what it really is, right?)
Be a Superhero
I really don’t have a greater purpose of writing this then to really say “Only love can save the world.” You know it, I know it. So what is stopping us from being Wonder Woman or your own superhero. There is a superhero within us all. Let’s stop ignoring evil. Let’s fight evil back. It starts with you and me. One person and one family at a time.
We all have our own story, like Wonder Woman. We are stronger with love. Let’s stand up for one another. Instead of criticizing someone, why not ask them what happened to them. I bet you if you took time to listen to their story, you would understand why they are the way they are.
I encourage you to think before you speak and challenge you to do one random act of kindness every single day. It doesn’t have to be big, just smiling at someone in line or paying a compliment is enough. You never know what just a smile or that kind compliment can do for someone.
